Recently India received its 3 rd Scorpion submarine, under the project PROJECT-75 named INS KARANJ. The historic induction of INS KARANJ was attended by Naval Chief Admiral Sunil Lamba and his wife did the inaugural. A total of 6 submarines are to be delivered under the project-75 and INS karanj is the 3 rd one. The first among the six was INS Kalvari which was scheduled to be commissioned before 2012, but due to some unknown reasons, it was commissioned late on December 2017.
